Tungsten granulate \u2013 we make it as small and fine as our customers require<\/h2>\n

We employ a reduction process to get the tungsten powder from tungstic acid. The grain size of the metallic tungsten powder forms depending on the grain size of the tungstic acid and the reduction conditions. The primary grain is very fine, with a grain size almost always under 0.01\u00a0mm. Due to its grain shape, fineness and surface, it also has a low bulk weight compared to the density of tungsten. This weight is generally between 2.5 and 4 grams per cubic metre.<\/p>\n

However, certain technical applications require tungsten powder with far coarser grain sizes, much higher bulk weights. Some also require particularly high chemical purity and good abrasion resistance.<\/p>\n

DOTIMET\u00ae is our granulate made of sintered tungsten featuring a very high density and abrasion resistance. It is available in sorted grain sizes with different bulk weights and strike densities, and by request also with a minimal carbon and sulphur content.<\/p>\n
